Simon Reynolds is an exciting live sports presenter based in the North West of England. Having got his break in 2024 with “The Hundred” cricket tournament, Simon specialises in bringing energetic, engaging and enthusiastic presentation to live sport. He is at ease in front of big crowds and working with big name sports teams.
In 2025, Simon ventured into rugby league becoming a joint match day and stadium host for York RLFC with Cai Sherlock - in their championship winning season. His job was to host videos for their social media and host their half-time activations, creating interactions with fans and growing the rugby league community within York.
2026 has been Simon’s biggest year so far. As PA announcer for the Sale Sharks Women in the PWR, he is responsible for being on the mic, calling the tries and doing the PA announcements for them on major match days.He also hosted for The Great Run Company this year being their run maker host for two landmark events - The Great Bristol Run and The Great Manchester Run. Simon also hosted for Cancer Research UK at their Race For Life bumper day in Beckenham in 2026.
Most recently, Simon returned full circle to Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground to be main host at The Hundred 2026 for the Manchester Super Giants. He will, shortly return as an Announcer for the Sale Sharks Women in all of their home games for 2026/27.

Simon’s first big break into presenting came in 2024 aged just 19. Having applied for the highly competitive “Hundred Rising” scheme, Simon made his debut in hosting for the Manchester Originals at Emirates Old Trafford for all of their home matches. Working for Progress Productions, Simon learnt on the job and developed the fan experience conducting interviews with players and pundits pre-match including Sky Sports’ Simon Doull, Mel Jones and Lydia Greenway as well as players including Josh Hull, Liberty Heap and Tom Hartley. Simon learned from the best alongside established presenter Mwaksy - who previously has presented Blue Peter. He brought the energy to the crowd and hyped up fans of all ages making sure the spectator experience was truly memorable.

Whilst back at University, Simon formed a partnership with local radio station YO1 radio and media. Renowned as one of the best and growing local stations in the country, Simon began presenting on a freelance basis at various events for the station within the community. He was the red carpet social media host for their inaugural Sports Awards held at the York Barbican in June 2025. His content featured across YO1’s digital channels, blending a mix between interviews of award winners and creating silly content which resonated with a broad audience. He also gained vital shadowing experience of producing and hosting community events including at York College.

As the official match day host for York RLFC during the 2024 season, Simon worked alongside Cai Sherlock to enhance the spectator experience for fans attending the LNER Community Stadium.

Simon was matchday host and announcer for Sale Sharks Women for all eight of their home PWR matches in 2026. Simon played a small part in making the match days unique and allowing them to become the fastest growing audience in the PWR for the 2025/26 season.

Run Maker host at The Great Bristol Run 2026 and The Great Manchester Run 2026. Responsible for creating content at the “share chair” and hyping up runners after the finish line in the event village. Interviewed and hyped up spectators and participants, celebrating personal bests and making sure that every runner felt celebrated.

Simon was the start line host at Beckenham Bumper Day 2026, hosting for both the Race For Life and Pretty Mudder. Welcoming 1000 people to the start line, Simon set off the runners and hyped them up on the start line maintaining energy and engagement throughout.

Simon returned to work with the Manchester based team, now known as the Manchester Super Giants, in The Hundred 2026 in their double header against the Trent Rockets. As main host, Simon was responsible for guiding fans through the entertainment across the day, interviewing top players and sky sports pundits as well as keeping enthusiasm high throughout the day.
