Introducing Simon

  • Simon Reynolds is an exciting up and coming presenter in the live sports industry. Having got his break in 2024 with “The Hundred” cricket tournament, Simon specialises in bringing energetic, engaging and enthusiastic presentation to live sport. Simon is at ease in front of big crowds and working with big name sports teams.

    Simon then had to go back to university in York to complete his studies - which slowed his pursuit of a career as a presenter. Now, he is back on the scene and ready for more.

    In 2025 season, Simon ventured into rugby league becoming a joint match day and stadium host for York RLFC with Cai Sherlock - in their championship winning season. His job was to host videos for their social media and host their half-time activations, creating interactions with fans and growing the rugby league community within York.

    Currently, Simon is back in the North West and PA announcing hosting for the Sale Sharks Women in the PWR. He is responsible for being on the mic, calling the tries and doing the PA announcements for them on major match days.

     Across all gigs, Simon has proven experience in both generating and executing match day activations for sponsors. From bigger brands like Compare the Market to other businesses like Land Rover York, BOL, Breast Cancer Now, The Dungeons Simon can deliver enthusiastic engagement to match sponsor requirements.

  • Simon’s first big break into presenting came in 2024 aged just 19. Having applied for the highly competitive “Hundred Rising” scheme, Simon made his debut in hosting for the Manchester Originals at Emirates Old Trafford for all of their home matches. Working for Progress Productions, Simon learnt on the job and developed the fan experience conducting interviews with players and pundits pre-match including Sky Sports’ Simon Doull, Mel Jones and Lydia Greenway as well as players including Josh Hull, Liberty Heap and Tom Hartley. Simon learned from the best alongside established presenter Mwaksy - who previously has presented Blue Peter. He brought the energy to the crowd and hyped up fans of all ages making sure the spectator experience was truly memorable.

  • Whilst back at University, Simon formed a partnership with local radio station YO1 radio and media. Renowned as one of the best and growing local stations in the country, Simon began presenting on a freelance basis at various events for the station within the community. He was the red carpet social media host for their inaugural Sports Awards held at the York Barbican in June 2025. His content featured across YO1’s digital channels, blending a mix between interviews of award winners and creating silly content which resonated with a broad audience. He also gained vital shadowing experience of producing and hosting community events including at York College.

  • As the official match day host for York RLFC during the 2024 season, Simon worked alongside Cai Sherlock to enhance the spectator experience for fans attending the LNER Community Stadium.

  • Simon was matchday host and announcer for Sale Sharks Women for all eight of their home PWR matches in 2026. Simon played a small part in making the match days unique and allowing them to become the fastest growing audience in the PWR for the 2025/26 season.
